In recognition of social services rendered by SEWA Rural the following Awards have been presented.

- It is a matter of pride that Dr. Lataben Anilchandra Desai, one of the founding trustees of SEWA Rural, was awarded India’s fourth highest civilian recognition- “Padma Shri” on 28th March, 2022 by the Hon. President of India. Dr. Lataben dedicated this recognition to all the karyakars and supporters of SEWA Rural.
- The World Health Organisation (WHO) Geneva awarded SEWA Rural the inaugural Sasakawa Health Prize 1985 for outstanding innovative community health work.
- SEWA Rural’s hospital got an award as best managed non-government rural hospital for achieving excellent operational results and patient and community satisfaction from the Bombay Management Association and Bajaj Group of industries in 1989.
- The then managing trustee, Dr Anil Desai was given the Ashok Gondhia Award by Young Men’s Gandhian Association Rajkot for rendering the best medical services through SEWA Rural, in 1989.
- The then managing trustee, Dr Anil Desai was given the Vivekananda Seva Puraskar by Shri Burrabazar Kumarshabha Pustakalaya, Calcutta in recognition of the services of a social worker who has tried to be closest to the twin ideals of life as preached by Swami Vivekananda – service and renunciation in 1992.
- SEWA Rural was honoured for its unique achievements enhancing global acknowledgement and outstanding contribution to the welfare of Indian people through the fields of health and vocational services by Bochasanvasi Shri Aksharpurusottam Sanstha – organisers of the Shri Yogiji Maharaj Centenary celebrations in Gandhinagar
- SEWA Rural was one of the recipients of Samarpan awards given by Sadvichar Parivar, Ahmedabad, in 1993 in recognition of pioneering work in the field of health services on the occasion of the centenary celebrations of Shri Aurobindo’s return to India.
- SEWA Rural was honoured for its outstanding rural health and medical services by Jain Social Group, Bharuch in 1994.
- SEWA Rural has conferred the inaugural Santbal Award – 1995 instituted by Vishwavatsalya and Santbal Award Foundation, Ahmedabad for its significant contribution to the upliftment of the rural, downtrodden and poor society.
- Bharuch District Blindness Control Society (Central Govt. Sponsored) bestowed its award to SEWA Rural for performing the highest cataract surgeries during the year 1994-95 among the voluntary organisations of Bharuch District.
- SEWA Rural was conferred Diwaliben Mehta Award for its exemplary social work in the voluntary sector in 1999 at Bombay in presence of Rev. Pandurang Athavaleji.
- Pinnamaneni and Smt. Seethadevi Foundation presented an award to SEWA Rural in 2002 honouring its imminent & pioneering work carried out in the field of medicine & social service.
- The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Surat conferred its Golden Jubilee Memorial Trust Excellence Award for the year 2003-2004 to SEWA Rural for its outstanding achievement in Social Welfare
- Rotary Club of Bharuch presented Pathdarshak Award to SEWA Rural for rendering selfless service for the upliftment of the downtrodden on Oct. 06.
- Gujarat Divya Jivan Sangh and Shivananda Ashram Ahmedabad bestowed SEWA Rural with Shivananda Ratna Award for the generous and meritorious eye services rendered to the poor, sick and needy for more than 25 years in Nov. 06.
- Award for Best Trained Dai under Dai Sangathan Gujarat Initiative in 2006 07: SEWA Rural was conferred this award From the State Government in recognition for its long-standing history of providing quality Dai training and its contribution towards Dai Sangathan Gujarat.
- The Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata awarded SEWA Rural with Vivekananda Medal 2006 in recognition of its meritorious work for uplifting the conditions of the rural and tribal people of Gujarat on 11th January 07.
- Hon. Health Minister, Govt. of Gujarat conferred the award to Sewa Rural on 11th April 2007 (Safe Motherhood day) for providing community-based quality maternal care to the women of Jhagadia.
- SEWA Rural has conferred an international Mac Arthur Award(USA) in the category of Creative and Effective Institutions: 2007 on June 07 for its pioneering work in saving the lives of mothers and their babies in India.
- Gujarat state blindness control society Gandhinagar bestowed an award to SEWA Rural on 11th July’ 2007 for its outstanding work towards promoting the national blindness control programme.
- Community Ophthalmology Society of India, New Delhi (COSI) bestowed Dr R. K. Sheth Memorial Award 2008 for outstanding contribution in the field of “Community Ophthalmology”.
- SEWA Rural’s FRU Hospital received the “Best Service Provider among NGO Hospitals under Chirinjeevi Scheme” Award from the State Government in 2010 for providing free maternal and delivery services under the Chiranjeevi scheme to a large no. of tribal and BPL women.
- SEWA Rural hospital received the “Best FRU Award for NGO hospitals among tribal region” from the state Government for offering quality CEmONC care to mothers and newborn babies on 7th April 2011.
- SEWA Rural hospital received the “Best FRU Award for NGO Hospitals among tribal region” from the state Government for offering quality CEmONC Care to mothers and newborn babies on 7th April 2012.
- SEWA Rural was honoured for its outstanding rural health and development services from Jivan Rakshak Charitable Trust, Udaipur on 28th April 2012.
- SEWA Rural received the “Service to Humanity Award” from Rotary India for the year 2010 -11 for its outstanding work in Safe Motherhood and Child Survival on 21 Nov. 2012 at Hyderabad.
- SEWA Rural hospital received the award from the state government as “Best Charitable hospital for conducting highest no. of deliveries” in Aug. 2014.
- SEWA Rural’s mobile phone-based application ImTeCHO received the platinum SKOCH Digital Inclusion National Award at Delhi on 19 Oct. 2014.
- ImTeCHO (www.imtecho.com), a joint initiative of SEWA Rural and the health department received the IDC I.C.O.N.I.C award for Social Impact on 13 December 2014 at Hydrabad for using innovative mobile phone technology for reducing maternal, child and new born death and malnutrition.
- The World Health Organization (WHO-India office) honored SEWA Rural with the inaugural “Public Health Champion Award” on the World Health Day (31 March 2015) at New Delhi for its “Sustained contribution to public health in India over last three decades”.
- SEWA Rural got the Champion of Social activity Award by Jain Social Group, Bharuch. This award was given to Our new Initiative ” ImTeCHO Project”. Award received by SEWA Rural team including our ASHA workers from Village level.
- SEWA Rural was conferred “Gram Punarutthan Award-2015” by Shri Manubhai Pancholi Darshak Foundation Award on 30/04/2016 for outstanding work by SEWA Rural.
- SEWA Rural was conferred the “Best Vocational Service Award” (service beyond self) by the Rotary Club of Udhna on 23rd January 2016.
- 6th Edition of World CSR Congress conferred SEWA Rural with Certificate of Merit on 18th Feb. 2017 at Mumbai for its extraordinary work towards Making A Difference by reaching out to the rural communities.
- SEWA Rural has been awarded Lifetime Service Award by National HRD Network South Gujarat Chapter on 11th June 2022.
- Accredited by Credibility Alliance and Guidestar for complying with the best practices for NGOs since 2018.
- Recognized as a “Great Place to Work” since 2017 by the international organization– Great Place to Work. Special mention of Great Place to Work for women (Top 50 in India) and Best NGOs to work for (Top 10 in India).
- Best performing hospital for the highest number of beneficiaries for the PMJAY scheme in Jan, 2023 by the Bharuch district administration.
- SEWA Rural was given an award in respect of its community health work known as Param Oration on 27 December 2023 During the annual conference of Indian Association of Prevention and Social Medicine Gujarat Chapter.
