SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY
SEWA Rural strongly believes that a poor-centric, value-based work style and development depend on the workforce’s safety, health and environment. We have formulated Safety, Health and Environment Policy to achieve the above-stated objectives.
- Health and Safety shall be responsibility of the Steering Committee, assisted by Administrative Personnel and Safety Officers/Safety Supervisors.
- The organisation shall endeavour to prepare and provide training programs for imparting training in safe working practices to all levels of employees. All the workers will receive regular health check-ups, health education and guidance to maintain their health.
- Contractors & various other agencies working in the organisation shall work safety as per sop decided by the organisation. And it will be his duty to see that his staff know the safety rules/procedures and insist that they follow them, including the safety equipment.
- The meeting of the Safety Committee consisting of the members of the workers of various departments shall be held regularly, and its suggestions are taken into consideration.
- We will make every effort to keep our organisation’s environment clean and safe. We will prevent the use of plastic as much as possible.
- We will comply with the organisation’s safety, health and environment policy, and any statutory provision, without prejudice.
- SEWA Rural provides the best quality medical services to patients largely coming from rural areas.
- SEWA Rural is committed to developing, implementing and integrating an occupational health and safety management system into its operations that will strive to maintain the system in accordance with the ISO 45001 safety management standard to prevent injury and ill health in the workplace.
- We will try to achieve zero accidents, minimum near misses, and minimum loss.
- This policy will be communicated to all SEWA Rural employees, contractors and interested stakeholders to ensure awareness of our commitment to safety.
- These safety objectives will be reviewed regularly, ensuring that resources are available, and staff and contractors are adequately developed and trained to implement and achieve the policy objectives.
- This policy will be informed to all concerned and displayed on the notice board so that all concerned and interested persons can see it whenever they visit us.
